Mark Kaminsky’s harsh handling of a suspect leads to his termination from the FBI. He becomes the sheriff of a tiny North Carolina town. With the prospect of FBI reinstatement if Patrovina is brought to justice, FBI Chief Harry Shannon, whose son was murdered by a gangster named Patrovina, recruits Kaminsky in a personal grudge. He has to go undercover and join Patrovina’s gang in order to do this.
